This week I accomplished reading another 50 pages, in Delirium, as promised. After being stuck in a dry spot, it is interesting to see the conflict of the book take off. Love is a terrible disease within Lena’s society, therefore a cure has been created in order to get rid of love. But when Lena realizes that, like her mother, there may be someone she loves, can Lena with stand the consequences of the deliria. This is the central conflict of the book once Lena meets Alex and begins to socialize and get to know him. However, Lena is stubborn and refuses to let love into her life, knowing that it is against the rules of society. The twists and turns of the novel begin in the ending of chapter nine.
In addition, I also edited and revised The Book Thief review with the help of my mentor. Although I still struggle with indecisiveness over how to post my book reviews, it was a relief talking to my uncle over Thanksgiving. He told me about different web run programs that would allow me to put the reviews up. I realized that it is important to do research on these different programs in order to see what will best fit my style. My uncle also has offered to sponsor my review blog or website to help get attention from an audience of people. It think this will be great for my book reviews, as he will be able to target a greater number of people who can help spread the word about my book reviews to more teenagers reading.
Finally, my new goal for the coming week will be to have read another 50 pages in Delirium. I will also be doing research over different websites and blog programs to see what will best fit my needs. Therefore, my new goal on when my book review blog or website to be up will be by the New Year and I hope to make this deadline I’ve set for myself.
