The DIVERGENT series was amazing! It was a story about love and sacrifice and the courage we find within ourselves in a time of need. Veronica Roth does an amazing job creating different characters that everyone can relate to. But most of all, her character, Tris, is one of the best female heroine characters I’ve read in a while. Tris is so strong and brave and values her loved ones lives more than her own, with is something that I look up to. It’s awesome to see some great role models in books today. There’s nothing bad I can say about the series, only that I disagreed with the ending. But if you take a step back, the way the series ended was essential to the plot line. Mrs. Roth uses elements of literature to her best advantage in order to create the next Hunger Games or Matched series. And with the Divergent movie coming out in March, these books are on its way to stardom across the world. I’d have to say that my favorite book was the first book, DIVERGENT. DIVERGENT sets up the setting for the entire story but, most of all focuses primarily on the society’s world before the reader learns more about plot line. In addition, I also enjoyed the romance between Tris and Four. It was cool to see how the book not only focused in on the romance part but also the action and adventure; making this series perfect for both guys and girls. Therefore, I give the entire DIVERGENT series as a whole a 5 out of 5 stars. And if I were to rate each book separately 5/5 for DIVERGENT, 5/5 for INSURGENT, and 4/5 for ALLEGIANT.
